นำต้นกกมาฉีกให้เป็นเส้น แล้วนำไปตากแดดให้แห้ง แล้วนำเส้นกกที่แห้งแล้วมาแช่น้ำ จากนั้นขึ้นโครงร่างกระติบข้าว สานเป็นรูปตามต้องการ นำก้านตาลมาเย็บเป็นฐานกระติบ นำเชือกมาร้อยเป็นที่หิ้วกระติบ

สำหรับใส่ข้าวเหนียวนึ่ง
